Actually, I get the opportunity to correct wfaulk twice here:
At the moment my connection is sitting at around 10kbps, roughly one fifth of its capacity. So the BitTorrent side is not a problem.
And the HTTP connection is actually from Synergy's server, a completely different machine on a colocated box somewhere. It seems to have phenomenally good transfer rates but has run out of hard disk space; and Synergy seems unwilling or unable to upgrade it (despite my offers to pay for it).
So on the one hand if someone wants to offer the drive space and colocation to set up another HTTP server, then that'd be fine. But I think BitTorrent is becoming more prevalent, and spreads the bandwidth load more efficiently. If people can leave the mixes seeding for as long as possible, that helps everyone!
