500.00 dollars is a little too much but it's way closer than the previous models from Pioneer.

Bumping an old thread, but this board is extremely dead today. Circuit City's sales flyer says 80GB Tivo w/ DVD Recorder for $199 after rebate (look under the $99 SA Tivo).

Instructions from another forum:

According to today's in-store sales flyer at CircuitCity stores, they have a Tivo 80-hour digital video recorder with built-in DVD recorder for $300, and a $100 in-store mail-in rebate is available. This deal is available in-store only, and the product description can be seen online. It's located on page 12 of their sales flyer, just under the $99 Tivo advertised is where you will find the small ad for the Tivo/DVDR combo unit for $200 after rebate. The register will charge you the full price of $500, so you must show them the ad to get it for $300 (before rebate).

The rebate requires you to activate your Tivo unit (and pay $13 serice monthly, or a one-time $300 service fee) to qualify for the $100 rebate. Read the rebate details carefully before committing yourself to this deal.
