I have a VERY old series 1 unit with drive upgraded to 80gb, and turbonet card for updates.. I have my set to high by default, on my 32" standard tube (good quality panasonic pure-flat TV) things look just fine.. I'm sure if I had HDTV, or a larger screen (neither of which I can see myself getting within the next 5 years) I might see some issues with high.
