Q:I'm experiencing static with my Rio Carbon, but only when I use my own headphones. What can I do?

This is a known issue that we have recently discovered. The issue has to do with a small set of headphones, not the ones included with our product, which have metallic parts on the base of the jack. When this comes in contact with our chrome top, a short can occur. The short can be exhibited as a pop, distortion in sound, or skipping. This has been fixed in manufacturing.

Carbons produced after 11/16, that don't have the fix implemented yet, will include a headphone adapter. Simply plug your headphones into the adapter, and plug the adapter into your Carbon.
