Well, I have a similar justification for mine, except for two minor features:

1) The likelihood of me ever being able to go to an empeg meet is approaching zero.
2) Since this photo was taken I've grown a beard and lost all ability to update my avatar

Still, I retain a quaint and archaic preference for pictures of the poster.
