I think (not sure) that the "Usb non standard request" message mvigneau is talking about, isn't related to synch attempts with emplode.

This bootlog was gathered over an RS-232 serial link I believe. I'd bet that there wasn't even a USB cable connected at the time. If that's the case I'd start to worry about hardware trouble on the player itself.

If there WAS a usb cable connected at the time, then Meatballman, you could be right mvigneau merely needs to read and obey these instructions.
