Ok, I feel stupid now. Of course that is what it thinks, being in a Mlord dock. This is the first time I got the thing wired up to use the serial port through the dock, before I was connecting directly. I didn't realize that it acts that differently.
I sincerely apologize if I worried anybody about putting on Alpha 11 and assuming that it was its fault rather than my own dumb mistake. In my defense it was 5:00 in the morning and I had been up all night playing with it, so I wasn't thinking too straight. I appreciate all the responses.
