Just bumping this thread, cuz there's way too little going-on in here these days, to make two points:

1. To thank everyone for their contributions

2. To brag that I bought a RioCentral recently and am thrilled with it!

Like many others here, and despite that I'd read about this too, I got "bit" for a few minutes over the "allow Emplode" setting before I got the ethernet working, but now everything works beautifully and I can't say enough good things about it. My little Rio Receiver is playing from RioCentral as I type this, and it may inspire me to try to fix the funky display on the Dell DAR that I got on eBay but is hosed somehow.

I've hacked-into a few Linux devices before, but so far I've encountered no bugs and hope that the challenges of keeping this running will be few & far between!
