I actually like the new box better (with this registry modification), because now Enter is always shut down. Before, Enter was only shut down if that was the last thing you'd selected in that box.
Oh, and who was it that said "Start menu, up arrow up arrow"? Remember that pressing Alt+F4 with the taskbar focused is the same as shutting down. That's why Ctrl-Esc, Esc, Alt+F4 works. I think that's more elegant than up arrow, up arrow. It's what I've gotten used to. Sometimes I need to shut the system down when I've got no video (for instance, I'm messing with drivers or refresh rates or some such), and those keystrokes always work for me.
