I reflashed the kernel and no dice. then reinstaled the original 2.00 consumer software release and no problems at all. Went back and tried to reinstall Hijack and exactly the same thing. It installs without any problem, gets to the loading music databases part and pops out with:

(1) Don't Panic. Nothing bad has happened yet, so don't try and make something bad happen!

(2) Reflash Hijack again, and see if that cures it.

(3) Revert back to the original empeg kernel, and see what that does (available from the Hijack site) -- there is no need to reinstall the empeg software.

Ah. I guess you want him to install the original kernel as downloaded from your site instead of reinstalling the consumer kernel. Correct?

Is there anything in hijack that would depend on the installation / software load of the full developer fileset instead of the consumer fileset? I know the kernel should not matter, but perhaps any of the other files? Just curious.
