I'm in IT, and this was definitely a trade up in almost every way (aside from a slightly longer commute). Previously I was tier 1/2 help desk support. Now I still help out with individual issues, but I'm more of an IT administrator, with control over the servers and even budget issues! I even have a window office on the 8th floor. In DC the 8th floor is high up

Hehe, well knowing my fiancee (that's going to take some getting used to, and "wife" even more so), and how much she dislikes cold weather, I don't see that happening She insists on a summer wedding.
