Only one store I've been to charges you more for using a CC, The Gendarme climbing shop at Seneca Rocks. The owner charges you an extra 3%.



It is typically 3% to 5% but this is what the owner is charging the employees to use the machine. Maybe I didn't make that clear the first time. The consumer doesn't see a difference in the price unless the employees want to add that extra 10% on that they are being charged. That's totally up to the discretion of the employee.

But is it legal for the employer to charge the employee 10% per transaction to use the machine?
