While the drives/enclosures seem really nice, the price isn't insane IMO. Just last Friday I bought a 160GB drive for my empeg. It's a Hitachi, but the price is right at $171.

Then you can get an external aluminum enclosure for under $20, (or under $10) although none of the ones there sound quite as nice as the one Mark describes (and oddly the air circulation doesn't look great on any of them).
