After all these years, I'm finally letting go of player software version 1.03. Since my empeg is going to Stu for the 64 meg memory install, I am upgrading to 2.0 final at long last. It's been fun keeping the simpler interface and doing things the FAQ claims can't be done (Hijack and boot logos).

A secondary question. Should I have Stu set the memory board dip switches down to 48 or 32 meg? Would less memory prevent 2.01 caching from thrashing the CPU by constantly trying to fill it? Is there a scientific way determine the ideal memory size for the cache by considering the caching algorithm? (or was this answered before; I don't think it was). Thanks.
