Just out of curiosity, has anyone ever hacked deep enough into the Tivo boxes to actually pull the MPEG files directly off its hard disk? It seems to me that if you wanted a really pristine digitized file, that'd be the way to go.



yes, people have hacked it, but nothing has been released that will go to that level. Frankly... recording at best quality, and sampling off with my DV setup isn't going to introduce that many errors....

Besides, I don't have the ethernet hack on my Tivo... just the 130Hr hack.
