One of the things about unix/linux (command line) is that there are a range of powerful automation tools available. Cygwin brings them to Windows.
They provide a *huge* addition to the toolkit of any sysadmin who needs to automate things (and Tony, the cp command works the same whether or not you use wilcards. I believe the spec is "make an exact copy" ).
