There was a time when Monster sold well-made cables for a slight premium. It's sad what they've turned into.

Oh, and a guy I work with used to work for Cello (one of Mark Levinson's post-Mark-Levinson companies) and he did basically the same test (I want to say he used zip cable) with their resident golden ears.
