Learning remotes and web-programmable universals like the Harmony would likely work well with the empeg. The remotes that depend on preprogrammed codes (like the OneForAll remotes) might not work; I don't know if the Rio Car ever got into their databases or not.

Of course, for use in the *car*, I'd much rather have the tiny original rio remote.
