Actually, here in the US, police band scanners are very common. You can walk into any Radio Shack and buy one. There's
nothing illegal or immoral about it. I get the feeling that they're constitutionally protected or something; we have the right to keep
tabs on what our government is up to.

Funny thing! It's pretty different in Europe. In many states it isn't allowed to use police band scanners or to sell them. There's a funny thing about radar detectors: People are allowed to build them but not to use them...

Well - as empeg covers not only the US-market they have to go common ways of legallity - so I think that's the reason why they don't implement police band scanners... .. though - it would be cool to have some
