Curiously, my Pixel (1) XL has a 5.5" screen, same size as the current Pixel 3 non-XL. So, were I to upgrade, I'd go for the slightly smaller phone with the exact same screen size and no notch.

Specs from Google's web site: The Pixel 3 has a Qualcomm 845, dual 12MP cameras, 4GB RAM, and "IPX8" waterproof ("The equipment is suitable for continual submersion in water under conditions which are identified by the manufacturer" -- so exactly what conditions aren't specified, so unclear if you'd want to use it as a generic underwater camera. Maybe not. Also, apparently no headphone jack.

Also, $129 gets you a "preferred care" warranty (two years coverage, for up to two "accidental damages" with a $99 deductible).
