… Raccoons had chewed the cabling in two places, exposing conductors, and probably surprising the heck out of the raccoons (24/48V on the tongue?).
Cut away the damaged bits, added inline couplers, and taped it all up again. A-OK for now.
My buddy is thinking about how to protect it better …
Sleeving the CAT cable inside armour sheathing would provide mechanical protection.
