unit 1 I believe is one of the mark 2 empeg branded units, not riocar labeled. I'm pretty sure I replaced the hard drive in it. connecting to it via empload 2.10 gives me an error 41002 sometimes, and I hear a couple telltale clicks that leads me to believe the disk is going bad, or maybe just hasn't been used in so long it isn't spinning up super great. as of right this second, it's working fine, though I had to reboot it a couple times for that to happen.
This unit has a blue/green screen.

I thought it was NIB but when I powered it on it has songs on it, so I guess I did use it, but it looks pretty good to me. blue tinted screen. This one turns on, plays music and appears to work 100% normally.
