It's a little poem from Mel Brooks and Carl Reiner's comedy album The 2001 Year Old Man. Natalie was a fan of Brooks, and at the time she first heard it with her sister Lana, it carried special meaning to her.
It's in Lana Wood's memoir of Natalie very last page about how it is a hope of people should feel good and be less nervous, as Lana writes. She said that both she and Natalie were sorting their way through the complexities of the world, and would sometimes play records sitting on the floor.
I can't tell if they're pulling my leg or not...
