I just swapped my 12GB primary drive for a 30GB drive two days ago. It went flawlessly. Just read and re-read the FAQ and then follow it to the letter. Prices are always going to drop, but I really needed more capacity and the 30GB drive seemed to be the best $/MB out there. Whatever you do, don't buy a drive until you absolutely need one. And don't buy the biggest drive out there. They are always way more expensive in relation to other drives.
