I believe that's normal (I hope that's normal, as I see it too!)

I think it's because we don't have a /etc/mtab containing all the information about mounts (because there's no writable filesystem). I've heard of symlinking /etc/mtab to /proc/mounts but never tried it myself. Anyone?
