You have to remember, there are many types of wood and wood stains. I didn't think the wood was going to look good in my PT Cruiser (all silver trim) but I think it looks great.

I have some purple wood (yes, it's actually purple) that I'm going to machine next.

I might even go ahead an try some clear acrylic.
