2.0b3 is a beta, and as such, it's got known bugs. The only solution is to wait for the next public beta while running 1.03.

If you like the features in 2.0b3 enough to want to leave it on the player, then just get all your synching done in 1.03 and the switch to 2.0b3 while you wait for the next public beta.
