my Empeg sits quietly on my cube shelf (displaying for all the world to see..)

Ah, see... there's the difference... both at home, and at work, the empeg is about 6 inches from my keyboard where I can watch the visuals instead of getting any work done, so I don't need the controls in a dock applet. (Oh, and I'm not on Windows either, so I'd have to wait for the KDE/GNOME version).
