altman carpal tunnel Registered: 19/05/1999 Posts: 3457 Loc: Palo Alto, CA	If it's anything like the alpine bus on the NSX head unit, ISTR it looked like an 8 bit checksum - but there was no carry from the bottom 4 bits to the top. Probably using an 4-bit CPU somewhere... Hugo
