I looked at the RAM mounts, their advantage seems to be the ability to move the GPS once it's attached. Though in this case, the position is fine. Plus, the RAM mounts don't seem to have anything to reduce the vibration. The rubber insert into the part that goes around the bar seems to work as both a spacer and vibration reducer.
