Hi,

My car speakers do not respond well below about 50hz (55hz is the manufacturer's figure). As a test, I want to see what it would sound like if I cut out (or at least, down a lot) everything below 50hz, but I don't know what to set my Q values for to get a sharp rise between 50hz and 55hz.

I currently have four bands cut down by 15db, one at 18hz, one at 30hz, one at 40hz and one at 50hz. The Q values are 18hz - 3, 30hz - 3, 40hz - 3 and 50hz - 10.

Does this sound about right? Is there any software that will allow you to draw a frequency graph and turn it into frequency/db/q values? Or the other way round?

Cheers,

A.
