how do you handle updating the Mark 2 and the Mark 1 on the same computer

I don't worry about it. My Mark1 is terribly de-synchronized from my Mark2. Since the Mk1 is only used for background music at the moment, it's only updated once in a while. Besides, it's got less disk capacity so I can't put everything on it.
