It works for sending files back and fourth from my TiVo through Hyperterm.

What types of files are you sending? I haven't followed the TiVo forums lately and was wondering if they've found a way to grab the recorded programs off the TiVo yet. My video capture is a slow method... 20+ Family Guy episodes to archive still...
