I know there is a thread going about buying the connectors, but I just want to buy the sled.

I also know that a lot of you out there have several "backup" units. What are you doing with the sleds? ::grin::

E-mail me at: [email protected]

Thanks!

We're hording our sleds just like we're keeping our backup empegs and not selling them on ebay for $600. It's not that we're selfish, it's just that we live in constant fear of having to go back to round, flat shiny things that scratch and skip and only hold ONE album.

Or a juke box of 12 that play the same songs over, and over, and over again for months because I was too lazy to open my trunk, pull out the little caddy, and fumble with those cheap lously plastic trays and cd cases. I can't believe I paid $600 for that factory option. Such a deal!

Tony Fabris said it very well a couple of years ago... here

Of course, what's really scary is that I would remember and be able to find a post more than two years old!

That thread was started soon before I joined and I remember reading it all the way through and it was the main reason I wanted an empeg of my own

Ah, two years on this board now and I finally have one in a vehicle to listen to.

I have aquired several extras, but have plans for everyone of them. Between 4 vehicles and a home unit I may still come up short.

My wife has a six CD changer, and the part that annoys me the most- I never would have thought it- is the fact it doesn't display any information about what it's playing. Every time I'm in her car I think "Man, she has got to get a real CD player, this thing is terrible, it can't even tell me what its playing. . . Oh yeah, this is a real CD player."

It seems like we should be seeing sleds on ebay by now, probably starting in the $250-300 range.
