I love this game, i gotta say. Does anyone else play this game nearly as much as i do? Seriously, at this point its some sort of trained response. Once i stop at a red light, i immediately go to breakout -- my gf hates it.

The other day i had forgotten my Empeg at home, and about two or three times while at stoplights, i reached for the knob trying to get into Hijack so i could start breakout. bah!

I used to play with the remote only, but now i mostly use the knob. The problem with this however, is in almost every game, at least once, the knob will do that thing where it spins, but nothing happens. I've learned to view this handicapp as a feature of the game now.

My personal best is 11 seconds to "break out". yeah. me.

Mark, i love you man.

Is this the old knob-slipping-on-the-shaft problem? Or is the knob working and it's a software issue of some kind?

Your player is one of the older Mk2 models, then?

Contact David for a replacement knob with an O-ring. Or get yourself one of Brian's button kits.

Is David still sending those knobs out? I didn't think I needed it at first, but more and more (in this horrible heat D.C. is having) I find that I reeeally need it.

That is a known software bug in 2.0 beta 11. To avoid it, you can downgrade to 1.03. That's about the only workaround I know for it at this time. It still isn't fixed in beta12, either, by the way.

The breakout game seems to not be very randomized. The motions of the paddle doesn't impart a change of motion to the ball..... so as a result the same game is played every time. Is it just mine?
