That is awesome, makes me wish i had one.

Quick question for everyone that actually made it to the European Meet, Amersfoort NL June 2002. Like once a week i go and check to see if anyone has uploaded any pictures on riocar.org for that meet, and there has been a galllery created for quite some time, just no pictures yet. I would really like to see what i've missed, are we going to get pictures anytime?

What does it say under the CPU? Aren't there supposed to be some secret messages. BTW what did you win the prize for?

I really wondered:
a) When someone would post this, and
b) When the first one (who has not been at Amersfoort) will find out what it refers to.

This was already discussed in another thread.

The message says "Where Gordon Lives", and it's the spot where the Flash memory is soldered into place. (ba-DUM.)

Hmm, think I'll add at least THAT one to the FAQ.

Uuhh - yeah, there will be pictures, a web site, and a gallery.

I must admit I have been rather busy at work and I have simply not had the time to work further on this. I work about 180 miles from home, and have to stay down there during the week, which means I only get weekends, and they have been pretty much tied up for a while now.

However, it looks like the contract is ending in a few weeks, so there will be an oportunity then at the latest

For those of you who have not a clue about what Rob is talking about:

Gordon is the fluffy one on the left (not the one with the tragic 80's dress sense, that is Sarah Green).

I put them up so that Rob S could scavenge the good ones, but he's not done that yet. I'll polish them up this afternoon, maybe -- the bad ones need removing, and others need rotating.

For those interested, there are pics of the DJ prototype and of what the video output looks like on a television screen...

Wow, that video output looks cool, but I assume it's also rather expensive... It would look great on an in-car TFT panel.

So, where do we sign up for the video out board? I've been looking all over for an excuse to put video screens in my visors/head rests/dash board. If only I could afford it... Can anyone give details on who commisioned it and what they're using it for that they just had to have an empeg to do the job?

So, where do we sign up for the video out board?

Unfortunately, at the moment you don't. It was custom designed, at very considerable cost, and there are currently no plans to market it. I have suggested this would be a good idea, but (A) the clients own the design, having paid for it, and can therefore make any decisions they wish for it's use, and (B), not being funny, but you couldn't afford it anyway. Trust me on this.

Can anyone give details on who commisioned it and what they're using it for that they just had to have an empeg to do the job?

That information is classified, I'm afraid. Client in foreignland, many miles away, speak funny, is all you can be told.
