So, let's see.
150 for the tuner,
20 for the lens,
180 for the Mk2a

Well, we all have our dreams.

You could have gotten a MKiiA last christmas during the "Big Blowout" sale at that price but I think most are going for $700+ for what you are asking for. (sometime just the tuner sells for $400+)

Good luck.

I should have modified that number after reading that tuners go up to 400+ USD on ebay.. sorry my mistake.. but would it be possible to get the MKII or a in such price range (the full package ofcourse, i wouldn't want to get it missing a harness or a sled)
also is it worth getting now, or should i wait for something new to come?!?

thnx 4 the help.. it is just that discontinued products give me the chills as if u need something in the future, you might not find it.

I doubt that you will even find just the player for $300 - $350. Maybe $500 or so and there aren't too many if any that would sell one without the sled and the rest of the accessories.

I wouldn't worry about it being discontinued, go ahead and get one.

Um, Fadi I just sold mine on Ebay for $700 (including an extra blue lens) and I don't expect them to decline in price until a major manufacturer produces a legitimate alternative. Also, it seems that the speculators that bought several during the firesale are finally selling out. Only the aficianados are going to be left with extra units and they won't be selling theirs for cheap. Of course that's just my opinion, I could be wrong

CurlyKicker, I did bet on two rio players on ebay, one which ends today (and it had an extra blue lens ) hehe.. could it be!!!
anyways...my story is (i have a bmw) and since i laid eyes on Rio -a while back- i couldn't get it of off my mind. but $1000+ for a person who was in high school (at the time) is too much.. after getting the bmw, (now i am in college) i read about people doing MP3 Boxs from old PCs.. so I did one... but after I saw a Rio player on ebay.. emotions just started to play with me again. Still 500-700 is too much for me.. especially that it is discontinued, and accessories are a pain in the As$ to buy (and mind u very expensive) I might wait untill they are cheaper (long time) or until technology brings us something better @ a good price.

wish me luck.. as my savings are either going for a new set of Alloy wheels, the Rio player (i doubt at the moment) or a new PC and a paint job for the car!! :-\
