Some radio stations do a "two-fer Tuesday" or somesuch. Would be nice if you could "shuffle" into groups of n songs by an artist at a time, so you could basically simulate this.

You could always hit the 2 button on the remote n times during a regular shuffle...

Not hard, with a recent jEmplode and player v2.0b11:
  • Select the "By artist" soup and Copy it
  • Paste it where you want it to appear in your playlists, and rename it to "two-fer Tuesday", "three-fer Thursday" or whatever.
  • Edit its properties, and under Playlists set its options to "always randomise contents" and (optionally) "automatically repeat"
  • Open it, and select all the artist entries it contains
  • Edit properties, and set "Play {2} tracks at random"{*}Sync, select and enjoy.
As you add music to the player, the easiest way to keep the above up-to-date is to remove and re-create it periodically. Mike's working on "Mirror Views" of the soup; I'm not sure whether they will support setting playlist properties, when they're done. (Mike, are you reading this?)

Not quite was I was thinking, but it should work nicely.

Thanks
