I have recently tried to export my database using both CSV or XML with no success. Whenever I select the proper entry from the tools menu, nothing happens - no dialog box pops up or anything. When I was running Windows 2000 and 2.0b11 I had tried it and it worked. With XP and b13 this happens on my machine at work and at home. Has anyone seen this before? What might be the problem?

Did you install Windows XP SP1? If so, uninstall it. I've have SP1 break more than it fixes. I'll try the export feature tomorrow at work on my XP machine and let you know how it goes.

The fact that no dialog box pops up means that something's gone odd with the "File Save" dialog. It's possible that SP1 broke it, but I think it's unlikely.

When I select the comand to bring up the dialog I get a momentary hourglass, the title bar flikers, and control returns to Emplode main window. Are the save as dialogs for export modal or modeless? (I'm wondering whether the dialogs are modeless and do show up, but off the screen.)

Unfortunately I did not install SP1 with the option to undo, so I can't try that. Is there anything else I can do to troubleshoot?
