Empeg I Mark I serial # 00337 Blue Facia, Dual 10gb.
20GB mk1 asking $500 + shipping for it, it's never been installed, I have tested it, and updated the software. Never had any mp3's or any other use out of it.
Empeg II Mark II Serial # 080000243 Red Facia, Original 6gb, I have a 20 GB that I am going to include I planned on installing it. Again none of the empeg's I own, are used. Never been installed. I have tried this one as well, updated the software, but never copied files or anything.
Asking $600 + shipping for it.
I also have the Receiver module for it, and will sell it with the MKII for $1000 or serperately for $400 + Shipping.
If I have no reasonable offers, then they are going up on ebay. I am also willing to negotiate slightly on the prices, but please don't try to get something for nothing. If you think the prices aren't realistic, then let's talk.

I am wondering what the deal is with MKI's. They are supported, right? And they are pretty historic pieces, I'd say. But are they functional? Is it worth buying an MKI because it's not only an empeg, but a rare historic empeg?

If it fully functional, then hell yeah! Can you get a 303 face for it (since it has the handle that all the 303face fans want)? Can you hijack it? I mean, for $500, why not get the MKI. It's cheaper than the others, you'd own some history, and you'd have a very rare piece that the "new school" MKIIx owners wouldn't.

Correct. But us MkIIa owners will continue to enjoy 16MB of RAM.
Which I feel, wins the feature comaprison.

The Mk1. I've got two rio cars already. If I got a Mark 1, I'd then have to start looking for someone to trade a RioCar for a empeg Mk2, just for compleetness. It's a slipery slope I'm hoping someone will save me from by buying it before my next paycheck. If it's still around, you'll probably hear from me.
