I was trying to install the TTS, it didn't sound that hard to do, but now I can't copy the "B10tts" to the EMPEG in a ftp, and I did install the preinit, but I think the screen said something read-only(is that right?). What am I not doing, also not sure
how to "Give B10tts proper permissions by typing "chmod 755 B10tts" "---where do I do this? how?

As long as you don't have any problems getting an ftp session, here's how to do both of those steps with ftp:

cd /etc/preinit.d
site rw
bin
put B10tts
site chmod 755 B10tts
site ro

type each of those lines at an ftp prompt after you've connected to your empeg and that should do it.

How can I fix the date? Oh and the time tends to be off,
and has trouble with the 12:30 time.

The missing date for the twenties I believe is due to a typo pointed out here

If the time is X hours off, it's most likely an issue of what time you set the player to and the timezone you set....
