I need an extra drive for some storage and am looking for a drive. I don't care how fast it is, I'm not going to be accessing it a lot. I've had good luck buying from members here so I thought I'd ask before searching for a vendor.

I have a Toshiba 40Gb 40GN drive for sale for $125. I've had others as well as IBM Travelstar' and they are both excellent.

I'm guessing this was actually a request for desktop IDE drives.

If you are looking for a 3 1/2" desktop hard drive I have two Quantum Fireball Plus LM 30 GB drives. (GTLA: LM30A011-01-A). They are 7,200 RPM, 2 GB buffer and 8.5 ms average seek time. Full specificatiions and support information can be found at:

http://www.maxtor.com/en/support/products/ata/legacy/fireball_plus_lm/

I just removed them from a Snap Server and replaced then with 120 GB drives. Way too much music to store and backup! They worked fine in the Snap and I have used the other two I had on my sister's Win2000 machine as backup drives.

I had not thought yet about a price but if you are interested please make me an offer for one or both. I am in the San Francisco Bay area and can ship via FedEx Ground for reasonably priced, insured transport.

Thanks,

Michael
