I would suggest getting a Serial port cradle. Not the same speed, but it will definitely work

How is this USB-to-USB project going?

To be honest, it is not going at all.

We just moved into a new place, so my spare time is filled up with doing stuff for the house, and work is so busy I cannot get time to look at it there either. Hopefully it will have settled down in about a month, and I can get back to my Empeg twiddling.

Here's a Delkin USB bridge device to connect two USB client devices together. Looks like it could be useful for an external hard drive?

http://www.buy.com/prod/Delkin_USB_Bridge_USB_File_Transfer_Device/q/loc/101/10370582.html

Edit: Never mind, I just read the fine print. This devices copies files from one device to another. Close, but not what I was looking for.

It's probably a better idea to just use a Linksys NSLU2 with the replacement firmware than do all this custom work.

You could even add ethernet to a Mk1 along with whatever else USB 1.2/2.0 devices you wanted with a NSLU2

Somebody (Bitt?) needs to blacklist this Atmel advertising troll.

I was just going to go on the premise that he's just a little overexcited at the moment. If anything else happens, I'm on it.

I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and assume that he was just being overzealous.

FYI N2TOH, most of us on here read every post to every forum, so no need to post the same thing 10 times.

New account, random name, no personal info, 10 posts, all at the same time on ancient threads that he knows nothing about, all just to help google find his product.

Edit: And his previous discarded userid (from 2001) had only 4 posts, two of which were (again) product placement posts. The other two were dups of each other, suggesting a new product but not linking to it.

Troll.

Fair enough. Deleting....

Edit: Now that I'm looking through his posts, only a few of them were advertisement-looking. I've deleted them, but left the rest.
