How come we aren't working along side these guys for getting GPS and OBDII and such working with the empeg? (or are we?)

Um, what exactly would we share??? Besides the fact that it runs Linux, it's got nothing in common with the Empeg. Devices are completely different... He's basically got a full-blown PC going there. What kind of code would really be portable or usable between the platforms?

My suspicion is that anyone who's running one of those things is just gonna drop already-existing GPS or ODB-2 software that can be as bloated and big as they want it to be... The only reason we need to write a lot of this stuff ourselves on the Empeg is that it's got different devices, not nearly as much RAM, etc.
