Great calendar. Nothing beats a good pair of Hooters staring you in the face.

Nawww. Is it just me (an accomplished sexist pig)?... but I always feel that things have gone a little downhill when a Hooters upens up somewhere (like on the south end of Lake Union here). I mean, they're just so....low-budget.

Last time I was over in the US I was taken to that Hooters on Lake Union as a cultural experience* (I had never been to a Hooters before).

It was very odd, as the clientele mostly consisted of blokes out on a date with their girlfriends and family groups (mum + dad + two or three children). It's moments like that I am reminded how different the US is to the UK...

* don't worry I went to some other more cultural places while I was in Seattle as well

Oh, and most of the family groups had a couple of teen daughters in them. We got the feeling that mum and dad were sitting there saying "See, this is what we want you to be when you grow up"...

Hooters is most certainly not a "culteral experience". Shoot me if it is considered that by most.

Oh yes it is. I bet there have been vastly more American's at Hooters than at the Smithsonian, for instance. Not saying it is a *good* cultural experience...
