Does anyone have a picture of Darkstorms Florescent Blue installed on their empeg. Paticularly without the LED Buttons, as i don't have any!

Cheers

No. Nobody has yet as I am just getting my system back up and will be setting the whole system back to normal.
Hopefully I will be done with it by tomorrow the latest and start on all the back orders I have on log then.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

BTW Paul will be the first to recieve the Fluorescent because if I remember correctly he was the oldest order I had and he ordered them.

I will post some pics as soon as I can.

Meanwhile, how is the transmission going?

I am still without transportation. I am waiting on the guy to get the tranny out still and bring it up here but he was still waiting on another guy to get their car out of his garage so he can get his in there and pull the engine and trans out.

This was when I last heard from him on Thursday. So I don't know if he's ready yet or not.

This year is NOT starting out very well.

I'm still rebuilding my system and haven't finished the orders up yet. The panels are made but I need to polish the edges and package them up.
Plus, I'm still having problems getting Outlook to work right, particularly the address book.

Well. I can't access the address book or contacts to write email or access either of them through my Stamps.com program. When I click on the contacts icon on the left in Outlook it does show all the entries in the right pane though. But when I try to access them through any other means it says something about a folder when trying to access contacts and does access the address book but shows no entries in that.

Any status updates? I for sure am going to order a lense from you (possibly two) but would like to see the blue before I order. Don't really have the money to order a bunch to test and see if I like (I wish I did though.. Stupid College.. ). I'm thinking the neon red and one of the blue's as I am going to try to get some lighted buttons and try to match the sony flip out display that is underneath it.

Same here. I am going to buy a florescent blue very soon. Anyone get one yet? How about a darker blue lense than the stock one? I like the stock blue but would rather have a dark blue ( even though its probably worse with sunlight).

Still pending. I know that Steve had a lot of problems come up - car (transmission), computer (crashed email), etc.

My computer is almost finished. And I should have transportation this week so I should be getting to the orders shortly.

Hang in there for me.

I will be including a little something extra for those of you that have had to wait an abnormally long time (abnormal for my stuff at least).

At least my wait times are nowhere near what some 3rd party products are.

I'll tell you though, If I keep getting problems like this I'm going to end production. I can't afford to keep customers waiting like this. I don't need that kind of rep.

Oh no don't stop production! I think most reasonable people understand wait times and just appreciate the services are available. I want a florescent and darker blue. Been putting it off forever. Guess I better stop doing that.

I have no problem with you taking some time particularly given your current circumstances. I know exactly what it's like.

Please don't stop. I am fairly certain that very few people (if any) would be giving you any grief because of the delay. Are they?

Not in so many words but some seem to be getting impatient with me.

I don't have a lot of time to begin with and all these problems just make it worse. Getting groceries has even become a big hassle now.
So with the computer frying, the car dying, people emailing me wondering where their orders are and other problems is just stressing me out and I can't get anything done when I'm stressed out because I don't do good work then.

I will get everyones orders out they just need to be patient.

Unbelievable. I bring my car in to start getting fixed yesterday and the damn mechanic doesn't show up at all.

It's looking like my luck is going to stay like this.
If anyone that hasn't got what they wanted you better get it ordered now. I think I'm going to stop when I get done filling the orders I have.

/me crosses fingers that DarkStorm doesn't stop selling them.

I know for sure I am going to order either a florescent red or the blue but I really want to see the blue on an empeg with led's before I place my order. Most likely i'll end up ordering both.

Don't worry about having people wait. Everyone understands your situation and shouldn't mind a little wait, especially since it beyond your control. Don't let these lenses add you any stress.

I too want the florescent blue and maybe the dark blue. I would like to see what the florescent looks like on the empeg though. Anyone got a dark blue lense on their player?

Well I placed an order also. Decided to get the neon red. I really wanted to order the neon blue also but thats ok, maybe he'll hook up a deal for it later. Even if not its still a good price so i might have to consider buying one later if he's still selling.

I went with the light blue and neon blue. I figured I'd give them a shot. I bought a couple smoke lens when DarkStorm first started his little business. I highly recommend them if your car has greenish interior lighting. I may also have to pick up a red of some sort.

I decided to try the neon red to attemp to match my fold down sony player. The screen is blue and the buttons have outlines that glow red. With the edge of the screen glowing it *should* match pretty well. My other idea was to try the neon blue and see how that would match. Both I think would be really cool. I just wanted to make sure I would get something to work the first time and without being able to see the blue the red was the next choice. I figure I can always get the blue as long as DarkStorm keeps selling them and hopefully when the first people who ordered them get them they will take some pics.

Hrm.. this looks really cool also. Founded by bxgurl. http://empeg.comms.net/files/117518-dash2.jpg Of course with the led's it would light up more and look really cool.

The desired look would be:

I wounder if DarkStorm can throw in a gel to do that if I send him some money via paypal. I better email him quick.

Anyone try cutting two in half and swapping the halves? Take a red and blue one, make one with left red and right blue, the other with left blue and right red.

Mixing colors would look best if you had a custom vis (e.g. emphatic 1.1's new custom info screen) that had different things on each side of the screen... short of a full color display, it's about as close as we could get.

i used to have my empeg split inot 2 color. I would always leave the Info line on the bottom, and have the visual on top. So i cut 2 gels and made half and halfit looked really cool at certain angles, but when it was at other angles it didt match up correctly.

I've taken a few days off this week because I cracked one of my ribs so I'm going to try to get the orders started while I'm off.

I've started playing lotto just in case the fate decides to let me have a break maybe I can get the break with winning a lotto drawing.

Greetings!

It has not been a good year so far. Think positive - it can only get better! Did you even get your transmission fixed?

Believe it or not I would probably still make them.
I'm not making them for a profit since I don't make [censored] on them anyway. I make them because I like making things.
I would like to find a way to buy my bosses company out from under him and make him work for me but that is a pipe dream since there most likely is no way I could since it's privately owned. So my next option would be to buy my own shop and equipment. Then I could make whatever I want whenever I wanted.

That's what I thought. Then I was moving the old transmission into storage and heard a crack noise in my rib cage.

I just got the transmission running this past weekend. So far it seems to be working fine (knock on wood). I just hope it stays that way.

It's hard to stay positive when ya keep getting dealt blows like I have this year.
