Here is how the re-ordering tool works:

"Playlist re-ordering tool implemented. Select a playlist (or hierarchy of
playlists), then choose Ordering from the Tools menu. The selected playlist
and its descendants will be reordered such that playlists occur first (and
are sorted by title), and tunes are then sorted by track number."

I only need something like this when I have a bunch of loose tracks in with some playlists, so sorting by track number doesn't help. I'd like to be able to sort the playlists up top and then sort tunes by title...

Just a wish.

My original post is a bit confusing, but I wanted to bump this.

I'd like to be able to Sort by Title but have the Playlists appear on top of the Tunes...

Possible in Jemplode?

I think you can do this in JEmplode, if you use the "type" tag. I don't really know the auto-sort stuff (I tend to sort interactively), but I think this can be made to work.

what i use to do in jemplode is sort by name, then do a cut, then paste into the same playlist. that usually fixes it up, as you can tell from the position numbers. and if there is no track numbers, i believe that the reordering tool in emplode will sort by name also.
