It's been very silent on the order invitation front recently!! I am an impatient individual at the best of times. I've taken the whole of next week off to do my install - please please someone update us on what the delay is!

Whoa, you don't even have an order invitation yet, and you've already taken the time off to do an install? Wow. I hope you have something else to do. I ordered mine late last week, and I haven't even received a shipping confirmation yet.

Sounds like a case of premature vacation, tsk tsk

Actually I do have a rather large install to work on ;) It's just I wanted the empeg in there while I had the dash apart fixing up my Pioneer h/u. I guess one of my options is to just order a sled and wire it in!

Ta,

Now that's not a bad idea at all. Just triple-check your wiring plans to make sure you're setting things up right (i.e., compatible line levels, etc.) It would be a shame to have to rip up your dash again once your empeg comes because, say, you need to add a new line level converter.

I'll be using the empeg as the source unit! So line levels shouldn't be a problem. The Pioneer will be connected to AUX-IN - it does have 4V outs which will be going to the empeg 1V in but it also has a level compensation control. I should be OK - shouldn't I?

Sounds like you've got the bases covered... I actually was thinking you weren't going to use the empeg as the head unit, so you could listen to the Pioneer while waiting for the empeg... but if that's the arrangement it's pretty straightforward. Of course since I don't have one yet, I could easily be wrong...

Not to rain on your parade or anything... but last time I checked, spare sleds were not yet available. This may have changed in the last week or so...

There's no delay as such - we're getting enough orders from everyone we've invited to date to cover the stock we receive (daily, in theory) from our manufacturer. Up until now we've contacted 1000 clients at a time, and they don't all order the same day - the last 1000 clients have provided a good two weeks worth of orders, and they're still coming in.
