This is a stupid one.

A while back, someone on here (I want it to be Rob Riccardelli) mentioned an alternative to Windows Media Player. I now cannot find that post, and all the alternatives I can find seem lousy.

Can someone point out to me what that alternative was?

Thanks.

Try BSplayer. It works pretty well, and is faster than most.

I can't remember saying anything about that, so it probably wasn't me. Sorry.

That's the one, and it was you, not Rob. Sorry to both of you. (I'll let the two of you duke it out as to who I should be more sorry. )

I'm sure those others ones are just fine, but I remembered you talking zoomplayer up, so I thought I'd give it a shot. (Plus, my mind likes to latch onto things and isn't ever happy until I remember it, even if an alternative is just as good, or even better.) But then I forgot. Typical.

Oh, VLC doesn't do Windows codecs these days, does it? It's all internal decodes, IIRC.
