Is there any updated news or an ETA on the spinning knob fix? My volume knob now doesn't grip at all. The epoxy lump worked for about a week before the epoxy lost its grip on the shaft. It's a royal pain to change the volume of the unit without the knob (4 button presses).

On top of everything else, it's pretty embarassing for Empeg every time I have to explain to someone that I paid $1350 for a stereo and the volume knob doesn't work.

I spoke to the plastic designers on Friday, and they told me they were close to a solution. They're awaiting delivery of some kind of metal insert - I'll keep you up to date.

Once we have a fix we'll manufacture a thousand of them and send replacements to anyone that needs them. There's no need for us to make more than a thousand, because we've changed to a different rotary encoder with a notched shaft and an appropriately modified knob.
